Picking - Bulk strategy
With this setting we may separate larger picks from the smaller amount of picks, determining the Business Model.
The two flavors are picking_only and split_by_business_model.
- Setting 'picking_only' does not take into account the business model, therefore inventory can be allocated from bin locations for picking or bulk
- If you set split_by_business_model, picking will only take place from bin locations whose purpose is Bulk, if the Business Model is set to Business to Business, otherwise from bin locations whose purpose is Picking.
WARNING! This setting must be configured on the product account.
To allocate inventory for orders whose Business model is Business to Business, bin locations whose purpose is Bulk should exists and can be configured through Bin location maintenance.
TIP! Available inventory shows inventory from picking and bulk bin locations, e.g. Replenishment items report shows both picking & bulk inventory from the Picking Available column.
