Moving of inventory between bin-locations is done using Move inventory. In case you want to transfer inventory between locations use a Transfer order
There are three main use cases with the Move inventory:
- Moving individual units which are not on a container
- Moving individual units off a container
- Moving a whole container
Moving individual units which are not on a container
Don't fill in container. Only work with the bottom section:
- product
- quantity
- status
In certain cases (where applicable) you can also see the following fields:
- Serialnumber
- Lot
- Expires on
If an individual unit has a licenseplate, you can use that, in that case product and qty (and/or serialnumber) are not needed.
Moving individual units off a container
Fill in container you want the units to move off of.
Work with the bottom section:
- product
- quantity
- status
In certain cases (where applicable) you can also see the following fields:
- Serialnumber
- Lot
- Expires on
If an individual unit has a licenseplate, you can use that, in that case product and qty (and/or serialnumber) are not needed.
In case you want to move a child-container, enter the container id in the licenseplate field. If you fill in the container id (the first 8 digits) in licenseplate, the system will take that as the container id.
Moving a whole container
Fill in container, or if the container has a licenseplate, enter the container licenseplate. If you fill in the container id (the first 8 digits) in licenseplate, the system will take that as the container id.
In most cases you can just use the licenseplate field, especially when you're scanning.
